How Long You're Covered
Warranty periods are measured from the date of installation. Coverage duration varies by film type and surface orientation.
* Horizontal surfaces (hoods, roofs, trunk lids) experience significantly more direct UV exposure and environmental wear, which accelerates vinyl degradation. *Extended horizontal coverage available — ask your Wrapmate representative.
Installation Warranty: 1 Year (All Wrap Types)
Our 1-year installation warranty covers workmanship defects regardless of film type or surface type. Perforated window film is covered for installation defects but carries a shorter materials warranty due to the nature of the product.

Improper Seaming & Edge Work
Visible seam lines, overlaps, or improperly finished edges resulting from installation technique.
Knife Marks & Trim Damage
Visible cuts or damage to the vinyl film caused by improper cutting technique during installation.
Overstretching & Bridging
Film that has been stretched excessively over curves, causing visible thinning or bridging effects.
Misaligned Graphics
Artwork, patterns, or design elements that are visibly crooked, skewed, or improperly aligned.

How to File a Warranty Claim
Filing a warranty claim is simple. Follow these four steps and we'll take it from there.
Document the Issue
Take clear, well-lit photographs of the affected areas from multiple angles. Include close-up shots of the defect as well as wider shots showing the vehicle and location of the damage.
Contact Wrapmate
Email your photos and a brief description to our Customer Success team at wrapmate.scheduling@wrapmate.com. Include your original order number and date of installation.
We Review Your Claim
Our team reviews your photos and documentation to determine warranty eligibility. We may contact you with follow-up questions or to schedule an in-person inspection at your convenience.
Resolution
Approved claims are scheduled for repair or replacement at no additional cost to you. We coordinate with your local Wrapmate Pro to complete the work as quickly as possible.
Report issues within 48 hours of discovery for fastest resolution. Do not attempt self-repair prior to filing a claim, as this may void warranty eligibility. All claims must be submitted during the active warranty period.

Warranty FAQ
The installation warranty (1 year) covers workmanship defects from our certified Wrapmate Pro — issues like bubbles, lifting, and seaming problems that result from the installation process. The materials warranty (up to 7 years, backed by 3M MCS) covers manufacturing defects in the vinyl film itself, such as cracking, premature fading, or adhesion failure unrelated to installation.
Horizontal surfaces like hoods, roofs, and trunk lids receive significantly more direct UV radiation and environmental exposure (rain pooling, debris) than vertical panels. This accelerates the degradation of vinyl films, which is why the 3M MCS warranty periods are shorter for these surfaces. Vertical surfaces like doors and fenders are much better protected and qualify for longer coverage.
No, the warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original vehicle owner who purchased the Wrapmate service. If you sell your vehicle, the remaining warranty coverage does not transfer to the new owner.

The 3M Matched Component System (MCS) warranty guarantees that every component in your wrap — the vinyl film, inks, and overlaminate — has been tested and certified by 3M to work together as an integrated system. Standard warranties often cover only individual components. The MCS warranty covers the entire wrap system, including a clean removal guarantee that's unique to MCS-certified wraps.
We retain your original design files and will use the same 3M film products to match your original wrap as closely as possible. Some slight color variation between aged and new vinyl is normal, but we work to minimize any visible differences. For full-vehicle replacements, color consistency is generally excellent.
Important Details
A few things to know about your Wrapmate warranty coverage.
Certified Wrapmate Pros Only
Both the installation and materials warranties are valid only for wraps installed by a certified Wrapmate Pro. Work performed by non-certified installers is not covered under either warranty program.
Original Purchaser
Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the Wrapmate service. Coverage does not transfer to subsequent vehicle owners or any third parties.
Liability Limited to Repair or Replacement
Wrapmate's liability under both warranty programs is limited to repair or replacement of the defective wrap. We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from warranty claims.
Effective February 12, 2026
These warranty terms are effective for all Wrapmate wraps installed on or after February 12, 2026. Projects completed prior to this date may be subject to previous warranty terms — contact support for details.
